Elizabeth Lanier is an avid brunch enthusiast, writer and aspiring beat boxer. By “aspiring” she means she still cannot beat box. She grew up in San Diego, California and currently resides in Long Beach, California. She is a proud Blackapino (Black and Filipino) American, a term she coined all by herself at a young age. She commented that, “If this writing thing doesn’t work out, I might attempt to find ways to use my degree but probably not.”

St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life. Its beauty was so powerful that it moved me to tears and left me frozen where I stood. The hands of great Renaissance men chiseled and carved this building out of nothing. Their imprint has stood the test of time.

How can a set of kind words be a spiritual experience?

Since when did the syntax of a sentence pierce your heart in a way that you would replay them over and over again in your mind?

It’s funny how what can seem like arbitrary sounds to one can be what ignites a mental and spiritual change in another.
